Iasi International Airport is situated in the Iasi city, in Romania, and is about 8 km away from the very attractive city center. This is one of the oldest accredited airports in the country and in this city, the first flights were registered in 1905. In 1926, the city aerodrome received the commercial airport licence, when the ride between Bucharest, Galati, Iasi and Chisinau was inaugurated. In 1969, started the airport modernisation. A concrete track and a passenger terminal were built in this modernisation process. Other airport upgrades have also been made in 2001, 2005 and 2012.
